The famous Caffè Baratti & Milano owes its name to two Canavese pastry chefs: Ferdinando Baratti and Edoardo Milano. Settling in Turin in 1858, they opened a confectionery and pastry shop at 43 Via Dora Grossa (today Via Garibaldi), destined to become one of the most renowned brands in the Piedmontese and Italian confectionery industry. It was Ferdinando Baratti who created, among other things, the famous cremino, which later became, along with gianduiotto, one of the great classics of Italian chocolate-making.
Today, Franco Sinagra's excellent and elegant patisserie follows in the footsteps of all the master pastry chefs who have made "Baratti&Milano" one of the oldest and most famous patisseries in Italy and abroad.
