Cycling routes
Departure: Sant'Ambrogio di Torino
Arrival: Sant'Antonino di Susa
From the car park of the via ferrata to climb Mount Pirchiriano, continue along the asphalt road, but closed to traffic, which runs alongside the Laghetto dei Camosci picnic area to Chiusa san Michele. In the vicinity of the bicigrill, a number of hiking and also e-mtb-ridable (and well-trained) itineraries also make it possible to ascend towards the Sacra di San Michele. Continuing on, it is possible with a short diversions to reach the chapel of San Giuseppe, where archaeological excavations have revealed the Longobard locks where the famous battle against Charlemagne took place. Continuing along the cycle path on an asphalted road, you reach Vaie, known for its Museum Laboratory of Prehistory (with a beautiful loop hiking trail to discover the precious finds), and where you can taste the fragrant, citrusy canestrelli biscuits of Vaie. Finally, we reach Sant'Antonino along a stretch that runs alongside an irrigation canal in the shady Mareschi area and reach the centre on an urban stretch where the parish church of Sant'Antonino with frescoes from the 13th century is worth a stop.
