Departure: Caselette - From Alpignano railway station
Arrival: Avigliana - near the Avigliana lakes
From Alpignano station, you can reach the start of the Ciclovia Francigena cycle route in the wide plain of Caselette and Almese surrounded by cultivated fields and large meadows at the foot of Monte Musinè. Nearby, with detours into the urban area, you can visit the archaeological excavations of the Roman villas, or the Cays Castle and the Ricetto di San Mauro. Continue along the Dora river until you reach the dam and the metal bridge near Avigliana. From here it is possible to reach the old town centre along an urban route and resume the cycle route towards the Avigliana lakes.
