The Fontana Mura refuge is located inside the Orsiera-Rocciavrè nature park, at the foot of the Colle della Roussa, a pass that connects Val Sangone with Val Chisone. The refuge takes its name from the source of the Sangone river, (originally Fontana Moura) that flows near the structure. It is located at 1726 m above sea level and is located in Alpe Sellery Superiore, and can only be reached on foot or by mountain bike from the start of the road-agro-silvo-pastorale near the town of Pian Neiretto, after Forno di Coazze.
Located on the GTA hiking trails, it is also an excellent base to climb over 2000 m (Colle della Roussa) and discover the fascinating paths between the peaks of the Park with its spectacular lakes, Rouen (2391 m), Sottano and Soprano (2200 m ca)

The chef
Ours is a simple kitchen made of a few genuine dishes and made at the time. We respect tradition but we love innovation, ours is a continuous research between local and more remote producers, in the awareness of always putting quality first of all before quantity.
We offer classic and not only appetizers, from anchovies to greens to savory pies with seasonal vegetables, not forgetting our rich Granda salami platters and cheeses from our Sellery valley.
Here you can enjoy the VERA polenta, made with whole-grain Marano corn stone-ground flour and local Pignoletto Rosso corn, served in the Fujot, and seasoned with the best local and not only cheeses, pork and sausage culatello stew, wild boar in sour, cooked in Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, creamed venison roe and more. As an alternative to polenta we always offer a first course or a soup. And to end with sweetness there are our wonderful cakes all rigorously made in houses, with the use of "0" fresh eggs and mountain butter, stuffed with the best jams specially selected by us
