PALAVELA

Multifunctional facility of historical fame, the current structure is the reinterpretation of the Palazzo delle Mostre, formerly called Palazzo a Vela, which, inaugurated for the first time on the occasion of the celebrations for the centenary of the Unification of Italy in 1961, has been renovated and reinvented by Archistar Gae Aulenti in 2004 to host the 2006 Olympic Artistic Skating and Short Track competitions in Turin.
